An African Team That Knows
Every Gorilla Trail
Rwanda and Uganda Budget Safaris was founded in Africa, Kampala Uganda (EAST AFRICA) by a passionate Tourism African Team naturalists who believe great wildlife experiences shouldn't be locked behind luxury price tags. We've been leading small groups into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park since 2021 that's over 5 years of gorilla treks, chimpanzee tracking, and Nile River adventures.
We're not a booking platform. We employ our own UWA-certified guides, own the 4WD vehicles that pick you up from Entebbe or Kigali, and purchase gorilla permits directly from the authorities which means no agent mark-up is added to your quote. Every shilling we save on overheads goes into a better lodge, a better meal, or a longer hour with the gorillas.

Six Reasons Our Budget Safaris
Don't Feel Like Budget Safaris
We save money where it doesn't affect your experience, and spend it where it does.
We Buy Permits Directly
No permit reseller, no third-party booking fee. We purchase Uganda gorilla permits from Uganda Wildlife Authority and Rwanda permits from Rwanda Development Board at the official rate. You pay that rate — plus our clear, stated service fee.
Our Own Guides, Our Own Vehicles
Every guide is a salaried employee, not a contractor. They know Bwindi's four sectors, the gorilla families they habitually trek to and the fastest route if weather turns. We also run our own fleet of 4WD Land Cruisers maintained at our Kampala depot.
Every Quote Is Itemised
When we send you a price, you receive a line-by-line breakdown — permit cost, lodge rate, meal plan, park entry, fuel surcharge, guide fee. Nothing is buried in a package price. You see exactly what you are paying for, and why.
Confirmed the Day You Book
The moment your deposit clears, your permit date is locked and your lodge beds are reserved. Solo traveller or group of eight — your trek is confirmed. We never hold bookings as provisional, and we never cancel because a group is too small to be profitable for us.
Community & Conservation Included
Part of every permit fee is channelled into gorilla habitat protection and income for communities around Bwindi and Volcanoes NP. We also employ locally, pay fair wages and source food supplies from village markets wherever possible.
Real Humans on WhatsApp
Message us at any hour before or during your trip and a real team member responds — not a chatbot, not a call centre. Our Kampala office covers East Africa time zones and is reachable by phone, WhatsApp and email seven days a week.
